| Question: |
How do i work out a price per 1000 |
Answer: |
That depends on how much you want to earn,
Say you want to earn £15 an hour, that would be £120 for an 8 hour day.
A Bricklayer will lay over the course of the year, an average of 350 bricks a day, (its up to you if you think you can lay more or less you can adjust the amount).
For a 2+1 gang £120+£120+ hoddy £90 = £330 per day.
£330 divided by 700 bricks= .471 = £471 per 1000.
This is not taking in account for holidays, rain, to cold and sickness.
Say if we take them in to account
Holidays 4 weeks:
2 Bricklayers = £4800.
Hoddy = £ 1800.
Rain, cold and sickness allow 5 days each,
2 Bricklayers = £3600.
Hoddy = £1350.
It totals to £11,550 for the Gang.
Assuming there are 260 working days per year for each worker, taking holiday, rain, cold and sickness away you are left with 225 working days for each gang.
So you need to earn extra over £11,550 divided by 225 days = £51.33 per day extra
£51.33 + £330 = £381.33 per day must be earned.
£381.33 divided 700 bricks = .545 = £ 545 per thousand
That should give a bricky £31200 per year
The hoddy £ 23400
